General Information The Office of Student Financial Aid maintains a Part-time Employment Service (Student Employment Office / Part-time Employment) which assists students in locating employment. The office provides a current listing of both on-campus and off-campus employment opportunities for referral purposes. The Part-time Employment Service as well as prospective employers require a personal interview prior to employee selection. All students are required to register at our offices prior to interviewing with any potential employers. Types of Jobs Employment opportunities received by the office range from those which require no experience to those which are highly skilled and technical. Some of the types of jobs are: - Childcare - Clerical - Health Science - Housework - Miscellaneous - Restaurant - Sales - Yard Work Etc. Wages The rate of pay varies with previous experience and training of the applicant. It is decided upon by the employer, not the Part-time Employment Office. Also, most employers prefer to have part-time employees on a schedule which permits them to work from three to four or more hours at a time. |
